Clinical psychologist and practicing Gestalt therapist
Maria Sukhanova has been practicing since 2013, working with both Russian-speaking and
English-speaking clients; both individually, and with couples, families (children from 10 years old).
People often come to me with acute grief, the loss or death of a loved one, the search for meaning and support, self-esteem, mood swings, strong feelings, stress, burnout, relationship problems, divorce, crises (existential, family, professional, in business), job changes and childhood traumas (including sexual character).
I work with extreme athletes and athletes, relatives and partners of climbers after accidents, participants in natural disasters and catastrophes. I receive clients with clinical diagnoses (depression, panic attacks, bipolar disorder, phobias, anxiety), in tandem with a psychiatrist. The relevant education is confirmed by diplomas and certificates (including international ones). I regularly receive supervision and undergo personal therapy, and participate annually in professional conferences and intensive courses. I am constantly improving my skills and developing in my profession (and in my life). Since March 2020, I have been participating in the Coffee with a Psychologist project, where I conduct free conversations with those who wish once a week.
